Our Patrons

Ian John-Lewis

Currently we are very proud to have Ex-Boxer and Award Winning Boxing Referee, Ian John-Lewis as our patron. His patronage recognises the work we do for young people in sports and dance, and the importance this brings to their lives.

Ian John-Lewis

It gives us great honour and pleasure to announce that the recently award winning Boxing Referee and ex-boxer Ian John-Lewis has taken up a position as our new celebrity charity Patron.

This year Ian was presented with the WBC Referee of the Year Award, and we would like to congratulate him on such a fantastic achievement, which demonstrates the talent and respect he has within the industry.

In 2013 Ian had the position of refereeing Anthony Joshua’s professional debut fight with Emanuele Leo, and famously stayed standing after taking a hit from the big man AJ himself, after wading in to separate the two boxers.
In addition to refereeing AJ fights, he also has the likes of Vitali Klitschko, Shannon Briggs, and Ricky Hatton on his CV, and more recently refereed the Whyte vs Parker and Campbell vs Mendy matches.

We are privileged to have Ian associated with STF, and welcome him on board with us in our growth of the charity.
